Alicia Gonzalez also known as Real Mami, is a talented licensed ASCAP singer-songwriter and Fashion Designer currently in Fayetteville, NC. who grew up in upstate New York, Oklahoma and Florida since her Father was in the military, which gave her great sense of cultural diversity. Real Mami began creating r&b/hip hop music inspired by her favorite music from the 90’s since 2010. Real Mami also began interested in Fashion Design at age 6 while she watched her caretaker make dolls and clothes then later made her own doll clothes reusing old clothes at age 10 . Additionally, Alicia became even more interested in Fashion while attending the International Academy of Design in Florida when she saw the school Fashion events. This year 2015, she decided to create her own fashion label Real Mami Fashion which is a creation of versatile and memorable/urban wear which encompasses entertainment, by spinning fashion and music into art form that has no formal style created reusing/recycling, originality, multi-culturalism and pop culture. The “Real Mami” Fashion logo represents what is important to her music, fashion, and love. Alicia is has also allowed her two children to help her come up with some of the fashion ideas for this event since she was inspired as a child.
Alicia has received several contacts recently from music a&r's, film, music/fashion magazines such as a multi-cultural magazine NATLUXMAG and Alpha Fashion magazine. She has also been requested to be featured on Doug E. Fresh radio station and writing a song with a multi-platinum producer in ATL. This year she was featured in Indie Art Magazine in the December/January 2015 issue. Alicia was also a movie extra this year in the movie “But Deliver Us from evil” featuring actor Pooch Hall. Alicia also designed a dress for an international Pop/EDM artist for a music performance and they have discussed starting a new Fashion label together in the near future. The feedback she received inspired her to design stage costumes for celebrities worldwide and also for a major mass retailer. In her future events, she plans to raise money to help the homeless, single parents and veterans since she is now working with military families. Alicia Gonzalez was a Fashion Designer assistant with a Designer friend Nijole from Europe for Spring Fling Fashion Show in Fayetteville, NC. in 2012. She has received a proposal to be a Fashion Designer for an upcoming reality show. She has showcased her new Fashion line this year at Lexington Fashion week in North Carolina August 2015. She was also interviewed by WDRB media from Charlotte, NC. Her interview was aired on WDRB media/WGIV during The Profit & Growth Hour on 8-28-15. Real Mami has a mind of an entrepreneur and always feels like the sky is the limit when it comes to music and fashion.
